At GrindingHub, the international trade fair for grinding technology, LACH DIAMANT presented under the slogan “Future for Today” how diamond and CBN grinding wheels and tools can today already provide significant advantages in manufacturing through increased efficiency, greater precision and cost savings.
A particular highlight of the diamond and CBN grinding wheel portfolio was the »contour-profiled« series of metal-bonded grinding wheels.
LACH DIAMANT describes »contour-profiled« grinding wheels as highly efficient solutions for deep-feed grinding of carbide, hardened steels and ceramics in serial production. The diamond and CBN grains are firmly anchored within the metal bond, allowing the grinding wheel to engage aggressively and efficiently with the material. Even when grinding materials such as graphite and soft steels, significant reductions in grinding costs can be achieved. Both concave and convex profiles can be produced with extremely tight tolerances of up to 2µm using »contour-profiled« technology.
Diamond and CBN grinding wheels »contour-profiled« can be repeatedly and precisely re-profiled within the LACH DIAMANT service thanks to specially developed metal bonds, without altering the original profile.
Cost reduction was also a key focus in the area of dressing conventional grinding wheels, for example with:
- »Dia-Fliese-perfekt«
- »drebojet-plus« diamond dressing rolls
- »rotary-dress« diamond dressing rolls manufactured with maximum precision using the negative production process.
Visitors from the tool and mold manufacturing industry also showed great interest in the range of practical “small helpers”, including:
- »Diamond Spray MF« from ¼ to 90µm
- »G-MX« CBN grinding pins for internal grinding of hardened steels and HSS
- electroplated diamond and CBN grinding tools for filing and deburring, as well as recoating and reconditioning customer-supplied steel bodies.
PCD and PCBN cutting tools under the protected brand name »dreborid®« were also featured at the LACH DIAMANT booth during GrindingHub 2026.
Another highlight for grinding machine applications was the range of PCD wear parts for centerless grinding processes.
As a pioneer in PCD and CBN tooling since 1973, LACH DIAMANT will present additional products from its »dreborid®« program at AMB and at IMTS.
