The leading Summit for the industrial valve and flow control industry will return to the Bergamo Exhibition Centre, Italy, from May 19th to 21st, 2026. IVS 2026 will be the largest edition so far, with a record 416 exhibitors from 20 countries, including nearly 100 international companies. The event will expand to four halls, run for three full days, and feature a 30% increase in technical-scientific conferences focused on topics such as AI, hydrogen, renewables, CCUS and nuclear.
The sixth edition of IVS – Industrial Valve Summit was officially presented in Milan. Promoted by Servizi Confindustria Bergamo and Promoberg, the event continues to grow as a key international meeting point for industrial valve technologies and flow control solutions.
The exhibition area at the Bergamo Exhibition Centre will grow significantly, reaching 21,400 square metres, around 40% more than in 2024. With its extended format and expanded layout, IVS aims to meet rising demand for content, networking and high-level dialogue across the supply chain.
IVS has become a strategic forum for manufacturers, institutions, research bodies and global operators. In a challenging geopolitical environment, it offers stakeholders a place to interpret market developments, assess supply-chain impacts and support industrial strategy, while also strengthening Bergamo’s role as a specialised industrial hub.
Scientific program
With the support of VALVEcampus, IVS 2026 will deliver an advanced technical programme focused on the sector’s key challenges and future opportunities. Special attention will be given to hydrogen, nuclear, CCUS, renewable energy, digital technologies, advanced sealing, additive manufacturing and AI applications in design, procurement and production.
The agenda includes 68 events, up from 52 in 2024, including conferences, roundtables and technical sessions. Highlights include seven conferences dedicated to AI and high-level roundtables on subsea actuation, choke valves, control valve safety, surface treatments and nuclear energy, covering both next-generation and conventional technologies.
Partnerships
International participation is being reinforced through cooperation with ICE Agency, AVR ANIMA, Confindustria Assafrica & Mediterraneo, UNIDO ITPO Italy and several European and sector associations. These partnerships will bring delegations of institutional representatives, buyers, decision-makers and technical specialists to Bergamo, creating new opportunities across the global energy market, especially in emerging regions such as Africa.
The history of IVS
Since its first edition in 2015, IVS has grown steadily in size and international relevance. Visitor numbers rose from 5,700 in 2015 to 15,000 in 2024, while the number of exhibitors increased from 100 to 325, confirming the Summit’s strong development over time.
Preview of the Observatory “The Oil & Gas Valve Industry in Italy” 2026
A preview of the 2026 IVS-Prometeia Observatory was also presented, highlighting the strength of Italy’s industrial valve sector. The industry includes 140 companies, more than 10,000 employees and production worth over €3 billion, with Italy accounting for 38% of total European output, ahead of Germany and France.
The report also shows strong recent performance, with 2024 marking a third consecutive year of double-digit sales growth and improved profitability. Although exports remained positive, the outlook for 2026 is more uncertain due to geopolitical tensions and possible disruptions in key markets such as the Middle East.
IVS Young
IVS 2026 will also continue to promote links between industry and education through the IVS Young project. Activities include scholarships, student technical projects, company visits and the IVS RadioAut initiative, developed with local schools and organisations to support skills development and social inclusion.
