Energy-efficient realAx IP80 roller hose pump

The realAx IP80 hose pump adds an energy-efficient alternative with roller compression to the product range of “larger” hose pumps. The realAx IP 80 with DN80 connections pumps liquids with abrasive solids at a capacity of up to 42 m3/h.
Peristaltic pumps in this performance class normally work with shoe compression. Here, hose squeezing is achieved by sliding shoes which the rotor moves along the hose to compress it. This creates strong friction which must be overcome by an accordingly powerful drive. In addition, the large tensile load leads to faster wear of the hose.
In the realAx IP80, hose compression is achieved by moving rollers. The extremely rigid hose is compressed with the same precision, but there is significantly less friction and tensile stress. This technology saves up to 30% of the energy required for the drive and thus a considerable amount of energy costs during operation. In addition, there is no need to fill the pump housing with lubricant, further saving material and costs.
The realAx IP80 with roller compression is ideal for challenging applications with abrasive liquids and media with solids – in water treatment, chemical dosing, and food and beverage production. Typical applications for the realAx IP80 include conveying lime milk, ceramic slurry and diatomaceous earth.
Processes in which a pressure of up to 8 bar is to be achieved can thus be implemented in a particularly energy-efficient and cost-saving manner. For a discharge pressure of up to 15 bar, AxFlow continues to offer classic heavy-duty hose pumps with shoe compression. The realAx hose pumps with roller and shoe compression are available in various sizes. Durable hoses in all common sizes and materials are permanently on stock at AxFlow’s distribution center.
