Activ’Inside, an innovative small and medium-sized enterprises (SME) specializing in foodtech, has successfully raised € 4.0 million from its historical investors, Aquiti, via NACI 1, and Bpifrance, with participation from the founders and the new Deputy CEO, Vincent Bellette.
On this occasion, the company also decided to open its capital to its employees, enabling one-third of them to become shareholders. This model of value-sharing reflects the company’s commitment to its teams and its desire to involve its talents in its success.
This strategic move marks a new step in the company’s development and aims to accelerate its international expansion while strengthening its industrial capabilities.
Company Overview
Activ’Inside is an independent foodtech company founded in 2009 by Benoît Lemaire, David Gaudout, and Stéphane Rey. Based in Beychac-et-Caillau, near Bordeaux, it specializes in the development, production, and marketing of natural active ingredients for the dietary supplements industry. The company offers a range of patented ingredients, such as Memophenol™ for improving cognitive performance and Safr’Inside™ for stress management.
In 2024, the company inaugurated its dietary supplement manufacturing plant in Beychac-et-Caillau, thereby strengthening its control over the value chain, from the extraction of natural ingredients to the production of specific dosage forms, such as gummies, to speed up the market launch of finished products for dietary supplement laboratories.
With a team of over 80 employees, Activ’Inside collaborates with numerous universities worldwide and has filed about twenty patents and published around thirty scientific articles. Activ’Inside positions itself as a leading player in neuro-nutrition and nutricosmetics, reinvesting 20% of its annual revenue into research and development to offer high-end products supported by science.
