  • Jungbunzlauer is addressing the demand for more functionalised products by the erection of a new state-of-the-art manufacturing plant for agglomeration, granulation and coating technologies. The plant comprises different manufacturing technologies that enables us to broaden our portfolio of products with improved properties in alignment with our customers’ requirements. In order to address the challenges that our customers are facing nowadays we can provide an overall solution that leads to a considerable simplification and thus better processability in the production of the final consumer products.

By applicating of AGC technologies, we enable not only superior dissolution properties or flowability of powder formulations but also enhance higher stability or better functionality.

Dr. Achim Hergel, VicePresident Product Management, says: “Beyond Jungbunzlauer’s competencies utilising the natural process of fermentation based on renewable raw materials, we widen our focus by adding specific functionalities to our core products. With our existing range of functionalised products,we do have a good track on that technology and a broad customer base. Over the last years, we have seen increasing requests for products with unique product properties. The new investment addresses these needs and allows us to further grow in this segment.”

The new AGC plant is located at the existing Jungbunzlauer production site in Ladenburg, Germany, and will become operational in 2020.
