Pfleiderer Group S.A. (“Pfleiderer”), a leading European manufacturer of wood-based products for furniture, interior design, and construction, announced today that Zbigniew Prokopowicz, who has been acting as interim CEO since June 1, 2019, will lead the company as a duly appointed CEO subject to his appointment by the Supervisory Board. Zbigniew Prokopowicz is already very familiar with the company. He has been a member of the Supervisory Board since February 2016 and its Chairman since June 2016. Miguel Kohlmann, who has supported the Supervisory Board in an advisory capacity since May 2018, will become the new Chairman of Pfleiderer’s Supervisory Board once appointed by the General Meeting.
Following a successful public tender offer over the summer, investment funds advised by Strategic Value Partners LLC and its affiliates, a global investment firm, together with Luxembourg investor Atlantik S.A. now control 100% of Pfleiderer. As part of the majority takeover and subject to obtaining consent from the Polish Financial Supervision Authority Pfleiderer will be delisted from the Warsaw Stock Exchange and will therefore be managed privately going forward.
